Come join us for 30 minutes every day November 14-20 at 6:30pm PST. The Zoom meditation room will open each day for quiet meditation. This practice is open to all, experienced meditators and those new to meditation practice. This is a practice of quiet meditation, not a guided practice.
Our modern lives may look quite different. We often don’t have the chance to stop everything and simply sit quietly. Yet the moments when we feel too busy to pause are often the times we need it most.
Prior to organized religion, people gathered together during the rainy season and the winter months to sit quietly together. This rainy-season practice is designed to let us stay engaged in our daily lives, while coming together each evening for 30 minutes of quiet meditation. It’s often easier to sit when the time and space are held for us, and we’re surrounded by others who share the same intention for quiet and connection.
Practice Details
Beginning Friday, November 14th, we’ll gather for evening meditation on Zoom from 6:30–7:00 pm. I’ll open the Zoom room at 6:15 pm, giving everyone a few minutes to arrive, settle in, and connect before we sit together in silence. We’ll end quietly when the bell rings at 7:00 pm, and depart in noble silence.
All are welcome — whether you join for one evening or for the full week of practice. Each time we sit, we strengthen our shared intention for peace and presence.
Ways to Nurture Your Practice During These 7 Days
Community Dharma Study
In preparation for this retreat we will be reading Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle. Join us Thursday evening, November 13th at 5:30pm on Zoom where we will discuss the first chapter. Each day of the retreat you are invited to spend a few minutes in reading and reflection — drawing inspiration from a book that supports our practice. Like the monks who gathered to study the teachings, we’ll approach our reading not to analyze, but to listen deeply and let the words speak to our own experience. If you haven’t had a chance to read the first chapter or find the book yet, please don’t worry — you’re still warmly welcome to join us.
If you have any questions please message me. Supported by this kind-hearted community, we’ll meet each other just where we are and move through this practice together. We all continue to face daily challenges, yet the weight of those challenges becomes lighter when shared. Nurturing a daily meditation practice cultivates greater equanimity and a compassionate heart.

The New Moom calls us to return inward. Restorative yoga is a gentle and relaxing style of yoga that allows the body to return to a state of balance. It is beneficial for individuals seeking to unwind, recover from physical exertion or manage stress and anxiety. In this class we will begin with simple breathwork, and gentle stretching before we move into Restorative poses.
We will use props to facilitate supporting the body in poses held for a longer period of time. You don't need to buy anything special. I will give you many suggestions for items you already have at home.
This class is especially suited for those new to this type of practice. If you have practiced restorative yoga before, and have been meaning to get back to it, this is your opportunity to dust off your bolster and join us.
When you register the Zoom link will be emailed to the email address you have on file. You will also receive a reminder the day prior to the class.
